The vision of Ayi International is to develop young people with moral strength and love for learning. Students and teachers are encouraged to respect and use native understanding, Western science and global digital information.

The educational program places a strong emphasis on mathematics, the sciences, computer literacy and creative arts. Extracurricular activities include excursions (both within the community and beyond), sports (including European football), drama productions and volunteerism. The drum-and-dance troupe performs traditional pieces from around West Africa.

Facilities include a computer lab with four networked PCs. The lab maintains an extensive library of educational software on CDs. The school library collection includes books on a wide range of subject areas. In addition, each classroom has its own library of English readers and story books.

The school practices interdenominational worship and cross-cultural respect, maintaining a balance between Christian and Muslim traditions. The school's 200 students come from more than 20 ethnic groups. The typical student speaks three or more languages, including at least one local language and English.

The staff includes 16 full-time teachers. The headmaster, Mr. Douglas Solomon Nyaman, is an honors graduate of the University of Ghana, Legon (2003) and an award-winning mathematics teacher. Class size is maintained at 20 pupils, and strenuous efforts are made to maintain gender balance. (Traditionally male children are likelier to be educated and educated longer than girl children.)

Plans are underway to move the school to a new three-acre campus on the Techiman-Tamale highway. These may include addition of boarding facilities. An American and a Ghanaian architect are being consulted.
